ABOUT US
Currently there are
three contributors whose widely divergent interests will be
evident as you enter our shop.
Historically, one
of the contributors, Marian Elgood, was co-owner of the
highly successful Stonebridge Heirlooms at Pakenham for a
period of ten years. Her husband Jack Elgood
contributed to that store, and when it closed, after a year
or so took a space in Memories Hobby Shop of Almonte.
On the closing of the Hobby Shop, he quite rapidly took his
section to the then vacant 30 Mill Street, and was joined by
his wife and Peter Blenkarn who, with his wife Maureen
McPhee, has brought in a wide array of items, including some militaria.
Our source of
supply includes many of the auction houses of Ottawa and
Lanark County, and some purchases are made either privately
or at estate sales.
We are currently open year-round, 11am – 4.30pm week days,
and 12 noon to 4.30pm Sundays.
We will
be closed Winter Tuesdays, Jan1st until the start of the
March Break.
The store is a proud and active member of Mississippi Mills
Chamber of Commerce, and Lanark County Tourism.
You
will find us in Antiquing in Eastern Ontario.
